About the Role

We’re looking for a highly technical Product Manager to lead our Runtime Internals product group.

This role sits at the intersection of deep systems engineering, developer experience, and product strategy. You’ll work on technology that operates deep inside production environments, partnering closely with engineers working on runtimes, operating systems, instrumentation, performance, and low-level system behavior.

You don’t need to be writing production code every day, but you do need to be technical enough to go deep with engineers, understand complex architectural tradeoffs, and turn them into product decisions that create meaningful value for developers and engineering organizations.

You’ll own the product direction end-to-end — from identifying the right technical problems to solve, through prioritization and execution, to understanding how the capabilities we build translate into customer and business value.

What You’ll Do

• Define and own the product strategy and roadmap for Runtime Internals

• Develop a deep understanding of our runtime technology, architecture, and technical constraints

• Work closely with highly technical Engineering and Research teams on complex, low-level product challenges

• Translate customer and developer pain points into clear technical product requirements

• Make product decisions involving tradeoffs between performance, reliability, compatibility, coverage, usability, and time-to-market

• Identify opportunities to expand the capabilities and value of our runtime technology

• Own features and capabilities from problem discovery through design, development, launch, and iteration

• Work directly with customers and engineering teams to understand production environments, workflows, and technical challenges

• Define product success metrics and use product data, customer feedback, and experimentation to continuously improve the product

• Partner closely with Field, Sales, and GTM teams to translate deeply technical capabilities into clear customer value

• Stay close to developments across runtimes, observability, developer tooling, cloud-native infrastructure, and AI-driven software development

What We’re Looking For

• 4+ years of Product Management experience, preferably working on highly technical products

• Strong technical background and the ability to work effectively with senior engineers on complex system-level problems

• Experience with developer-facing products, infrastructure, observability, security, cloud platforms, or other deep-tech products

• Strong understanding of software architecture and modern production environments

• Ability to understand complex technical systems and quickly develop depth in unfamiliar technical areas

• Excellent product judgment and ability to distinguish interesting technology from technology that creates meaningful customer value

• Strong analytical and problem-solving skills

• Ability to translate between engineering depth, developer needs, and business impact

• Comfortable operating with ambiguity and owning problems end-to-end

• Excellent communication and stakeholder management skills

Nice to Have

• Degree in Computer Science, Software Engineering, or a related technical field

• Previous hands-on experience as a Software Engineer, Researcher, or in another highly technical role

• Understanding of operating systems, runtimes, compilers, memory management, concurrency, or low-level programming

• Experience with languages such as C, C++, Rust, Go, Java, or Python

• Familiarity with Linux internals, containers, Kubernetes, eBPF, OpenTelemetry, or distributed systems

• Experience building products for developers, Platform Engineering, DevOps, SRE, or engineering leadership personas

• Experience taking a deeply technical product or capability from 0→1

• Experience working in an early-stage startup or similarly fast-moving environment

What We Offer

• The opportunity to own a deeply technical and strategically important product area

• Direct impact on core technology and product direction

• Close collaboration with exceptional engineers and technical leaders

• High ownership, autonomy, and influence

• The opportunity to solve complex problems at the intersection of runtime technology, production systems, developer tooling, and AI

• A fast-paced environment where product managers are expected to go deep, move quickly, and make a meaningful impact
