Python Backend Developer — AI-First FinTech

We’re looking for an experienced Python Backend Developer to join an international FinTech startup building products used by customers around the world.

Today, great developers do more than write code. They use AI effectively to design, build, test, and deliver high-quality software. In our engineering team, AI-assisted development is a standard way of working—not an experiment.

What you’ll do

• Design and develop scalable backend services using Python.

• Build reliable APIs with Flask or FastAPI.

• Contribute to architectural and technical decisions.

• Use AI tools to accelerate development, refactoring, testing, debugging, and system design.

• Collaborate with a strong international team on complex FinTech challenges.

• Help improve engineering practices, code quality, and system performance.

What we’re looking for

• 3–5 years of hands-on experience building large-scale backend services with modern architectures.

• Strong proficiency in Python and backend development.

• Production experience with Flask or FastAPI.

• Experience with MySQL and/or PostgreSQL.

• Daily experience with AI development tools such as Claude Code, Cursor, ChatGPT, GitHub Copilot, or similar.

• Ability to use AI thoughtfully throughout the software development lifecycle.

• Strong problem-solving skills and an engineering mindset.

• Good English communication skills.

• Russian

• Experience with MongoDB.

• Experience with Elasticsearch.

• FinTech or other high-scale product experience.
