- Direct hands-on experience with radiolabeling and/or production chemistry for at least one therapeutic radionuclide (alpha-, beta-, or Auger-emitter)

- Experience with GMP-track translation of radiopharmaceutical production, IND-enabling CMC packages, or prior interaction with FDA/EMA
- Existing relationships with academic radiochemistry groups or commercial isotope suppliers relevant to Tb-161 or At-211
- Experience evaluating or selecting CDMOs for radiopharmaceutical manufacturing
- Publication record or conference presence in targeted alpha-, beta-, or Auger-emitter therapeutics

המשרה המקורית · נשמר לעיוןSynergy7 is looking for an experienced Radiochemist Consultant to support an international oncology company whose activity we are working to bring to Southern Israel.
Role Summary
The Radiochemist Consultant will advise the NewCo leadership and team on the scientific and technical feasibility of the isotope/chelator combinations above, help interpret third-party data (academic collaborators, CDMOs, isotope producers), and flag technical risks before they become costly surprises. The role is expected to require roughly 5-10 hours per month, structured as a standing advisory retainer with the flexibility to flex up around key diligence milestones (e.g., CDMO selection, IND-enabling study design, isotope supply agreements).
Key Responsibilities
• Advise on isotope selection, availability, and production pathways for ¹⁶¹Tb (cyclotron/reactor production) and ²¹¹At (cyclotron-produced alpha emitter with a short half-life and specialized handling requirements).
• Review and critique chelation chemistry choices, affibody conjugation chemistry, stability, radiolabeling yield, and in vivo behavior.
• Evaluate radiolabeling, quality control, and analytical methods (e.g., radio-HPLC, radio-TLC, ITLC) appropriate for each isotope class and recommend approaches suitable for eventual GMP translation.
• Assess and help vet potential CDMO, isotope-supply, and academic collaboration partners, including technical due diligence on their production capacity, purity specifications, and track record with the relevant isotopes.
• Identify supply chain risk points
• Translate technical radiochemistry considerations into plain-language briefings and written memos for non-scientist leadership team.
• Participate in periodic (typically monthly) team meetings
• Review external scientific materials — vendor decks, academic collaborator proposals, competitor publications — for technical accuracy and flag any claims that warrant independent verification.
Requires Qualifications
• Ph.D. in radiochemistry, nuclear chemistry, radiopharmaceutical sciences, or a closely related field, or equivalent industry experience.
• Direct hands-on experience with radiolabeling and/or production chemistry for at least one therapeutic radionuclide (alpha-, beta-, or Auger-emitter experience all relevant; direct experience with Tb-161 or At-211 specifically is a strong plus but not required).
• Working knowledge of chelation chemistry for radiometals (e.g., DOTA, DTPA, HOPO-class, macropa) and/or halogen conjugation chemistry for astatine or iodine.
• Familiarity with the isotope supply landscape — cyclotron and reactor production routes, generator systems (e.g., Ac-225/Ra-225), and the major commercial and academic isotope producers.
• Prior experience advising or consulting for biotech/pharma companies, or equivalent industry R&D experience, with the ability to communicate technical material clearly to non-scientist stakeholders.
• Available for a part-time advisory commitment of approximately 5–10 hours per month, with responsiveness to occasional time-sensitive requests.
Preferred Qualifications
• Experience with GMP-track translation of radiopharmaceutical production, IND-enabling CMC packages, or prior interaction with FDA/EMA on radiopharmaceutical programs.
• Existing relationships with academic radiochemistry groups (e.g., isotope-production centers) or commercial isotope suppliers relevant to Tb-161 or At-211.
• Experience evaluating or selecting CDMOs for radiopharmaceutical manufacturing.
• Publication record or conference presence in targeted alpha-, beta-, or Auger-emitter therapeutics.
