Research & Development Specialist

Our client, a dynamic Amazon FBA business with a global presence, is looking for a middle-level Research & Development Specialist to support the R&D Team Lead. The specialist will be involved in work across all company brands, coordinating with suppliers, the Supply Chain team, Brand managers, and the Design team.

This role is ideal for someone with experience in product development, procurement, or Amazon e-commerce who can independently manage day-to-day execution while escalating strategic or non-standard decisions when needed.

Responsibilities

• Conduct market and competitor research for new product opportunities

• Analyze demand, trends, sales volume, and competitor products

• Communicate with suppliers regarding product specifications, pricing, and development

• Prepare RFQs, compare quotations, and calculate product costs

• Order and evaluate product samples

• Coordinate product development projects across internal teams

• Support packaging, certification, and compliance activities

• Maintain project documentation and provide regular status updates

Requirements

• 2+ years of experience in e-commerce R&D / product development

• Experience with Amazon research tools (Keepa, Helium 10, DataDive, etc.)

• Strong understanding of Amazon FBA and Seller Central

• Experience working with overseas manufacturers, samples, RFQs, and specification documents

• Experience with product compliance and certifications, or a strong interest and willingness to learn Amazon compliance requirements

• English - Upper-Intermediate or higher

• Proficient in Excel and Google Sheets

• Strong analytical and problem-solving skills

• Excellent organization and attention to detail

• Ability to quickly learn and adapt to new processes

• Strong communication and collaboration skills

• Ability to manage multiple projects in a remote environment

Nice to have

• Amazon compliance knowledge

• Experience with supplements or regulated products

• Experience working with Chinese manufacturers
