Safety Officer

Israel Shipyards is seeking a Safety Officer (as part of the SHE Team).

• Implementing and promoting safety procedures and best practices throughout the production facilities for both employees and contractors.

• Conducting Risk Assessments and Hazard Analyses for routine and complex operations.

• Monitoring and maintaining compliance with mandatory training and certification requirements, including Working at Height, Lifting Equipment Operation, and Forklift Operation.

• Monitoring compliance with applicable safety laws and regulations and ensure adherence to the requirements of ISO 45001.

• Providing employees with safety guidance, training, and information regarding workplace hazards.

Essential Qualifications

• Certified Safety Officer with a valid competency certificate.

• Thorough proficiency of applicable occupational safety legislation and ISO 45001 requirements.

• Experience as a Safety Officer in an industrial manufacturing environment (construction site experience alone is not sufficient).

• Availability for a full-time position, including overtime as required.

• Strong interpersonal skills with the ability to work both independently and as part of a team.

• Excellent presentation, training, verbal, and written communication skills.

• Proficiency in Microsoft Office and standard computer applications.
