Senior Big-Data Engineer

A leading technology company is looking for a Senior Big-Data Engineer to design, develop, and scale the data infrastructure behind an advanced Big Data product.

The company develops a large-scale platform that collects, processes, monitors, and centralizes high volumes of data from thousands of customers and users in cloud environments. This is a senior hands-on engineering role focused on building scalable real-time data infrastructure with strong emphasis on Java, Kafka, Spark, and streaming technologies.

The role includes end-to-end ownership of data services, from architecture and development through deployment, monitoring, scaling, optimization, and production reliability.

Responsibilities

• Design, develop, and scale advanced data infrastructure and data pipelines.

• Build high-scale systems for real-time data processing.

• Develop backend services primarily in Java.

• Work extensively with Kafka and streaming technologies.

• Own the full service lifecycle, from architecture and development through deployment, monitoring, and scaling.

• Develop and maintain microservices in production environments.

• Work with cloud-based infrastructure and services.

• Ensure data quality, reliability, performance, and scalability.

• Monitor, troubleshoot, and optimize production systems.

• Collaborate closely with Backend, AI, and Data teams.

Required Qualifications

• 5+ years of experience in Backend Development and/or Data Engineering – must.

• Significant experience with Kafka, Spark, Java – must.

• Hands-on experience with at least one streaming technology: Kafka Streams, Flink, Spark, or Beam – must.
