🚀 Senior Communications Infrastructure Architect / Designer – Buildings & Data Centers

We are looking for a Senior Communications Infrastructure Architect / Designer to join a professional, hands-on role focused on the end-to-end planning, design, and implementation of physical communications infrastructure in complex facilities and Data Centers.

This is not a traditional Network Engineer position focused primarily on Cisco/Juniper configuration.

The focus is on physical and systems-level infrastructure design within buildings and complex facilities — from initial requirements and architectural plans through detailed design, drawings, construction supervision, and handover.

🔧 Key Responsibilities

• Lead the planning and design of communications and technology infrastructure for buildings and Data Centers.

• Lead projects from requirements and concept through detailed design, implementation, and handover.

• Read and analyze architectural, construction, electrical, and systems drawings.

• Create technical drawings, layouts, schematics, and execution plans using AutoCAD and Microsoft Visio.

• Design communication rooms, racks, endpoints, cable pathways, trays, and infrastructure routes.

• Design fiber-optic and copper cabling infrastructure.

• Plan low-voltage and communications systems according to project requirements.

• Design infrastructure and interfaces supporting IT and OT systems.

• Coordinate communications infrastructure with electrical, construction, HVAC, and safety systems.

• Prepare technical specifications, bills of quantities, and work plans.

• Work closely with architects, consultants, project managers, contractors, and vendors.

• Supervise and support contractors and implementation teams on site.

• Perform design compliance checks, resolve gaps, and support testing, commissioning, and handover.

🎯 Requirements

• Significant experience in communications systems and technology infrastructure design for buildings or complex facilities.

• Proven experience leading projects from initial planning through implementation and handover.

• Hands-on experience designing physical communications infrastructure, not only network operations or configuration.

• Ability to read and understand architectural and systems drawings.

• Experience creating infrastructure drawings and technical plans.

• Strong hands-on experience with AutoCAD and Microsoft Visio.

• Experience designing communication rooms, racks, fiber-optic and copper infrastructure, and cable pathways.

• Understanding of IT, OT, and low-voltage systems.

• Experience supporting and supervising construction/implementation activities on site.

• Strong hands-on and independent working capabilities.

• High-level English – speaking, reading, and writing.

• Willingness to travel between multiple sites and perform field work.

⭐ Advantageous Experience

• Experience designing and implementing communications infrastructure in Data Centers.

• Experience with large-scale industrial, defense, healthcare, or technology campus projects.

• Experience integrating IT and OT infrastructure.

• Familiarity with relevant communications and Data Center standards.

• Experience preparing technical specifications and bills of quantities.

• Background in electrical design or close collaboration with electrical engineers.

👤 The Ideal Candidate

A hands-on communications infrastructure designer/architect who can take a building or complex facility from the early planning stage, understand the architectural and engineering plans, and design the required communications and technology infrastructure.

We are looking for someone who can go beyond high-level architecture — creating detailed drawings and plans, addressing execution-level requirements, and supporting the actual implementation on site.
