Senior Computational chemist

AgPlenus, a subsidiary of Evogene Ltd., is developing novel agrochemical products for crop protection.

We are looking for a Senior Computational Chemist to join our Computational Chemistry team and support small-molecule discovery programs across various stages of the discovery process.

Job Qualifications:

·        PhD degree in Chemistry Computational Chemistry, Medicinal Chemistry, Cheminformatics or a related scientific discipline.

·        Significant hands-on experience in computational chemistry, computer-aided drug design, molecular modeling, cheminformatics or a related field.

·        Experience in small molecules hit discovery, hit to lead and lead optimization.

·        Demonstrated experience applying structure-based and ligand-based computational methods to drug or agrochemical discovery programs

Required skills:

·        Ability to set priorities, manage multiple projects and balance strategic scientific direction with hands-on technical contribution

·        Ability to motivate, mentor and develop team members while maintaining high scientific and professional standards

·        Ability to work independently while effectively leading and collaborating within multidisciplinary teams, Excellent communication, leadership and problem-solving skills, including the ability to address complex and non-routine scientific challenges

·        Strong analytical and organizational skills (reviewing, organizing and analyzing information, documentation, preparing presentations) and Creative thinking.

·        Strong written and verbal communication skills in both English and Hebrew
