We are looking for a Senior Data Scientist / ML Researcher to join our multidisciplinary personalization team!

Our team combines strong statistical fundamentals with SOTA algorithms to deliver real-time experiences. Over the last few years, we’ve built and scaled a real-time recommendation engine based on Bayesian multi-armed bandits (check out our public pybandit library!). Here, your research translates directly into production, serving diverse use cases across multiple studios.

🎯 What You’ll Do:

• End-to-End Research: Lead full-cycle, data-driven research—from problem definition, data collection, and validation to model development, evaluation, and deployment.

• Real-World Impact: Analyze, test, and demonstrate the direct impact of your models in a real-time production environment.

• Cross-Functional Collaboration: Partner closely with engineers, BI, and product teams to deploy and iterate quickly.

• Thought Leadership: Propose and contribute to scientific papers, tech blogs, and industry conferences.

• Mentorship: Act as a Data Science Subject Matter Expert (SME) within the organization, mentoring fellow DS and MLE colleagues.

🎓 What You’ll Bring:

• Education: M.Sc. or Ph.D. in Computer Science, Mathematics, Statistics, Engineering, or a related quantitative field.

• Experience: 4+ years of hands-on industry experience.

• Technical Depth: Deep theoretical and practical knowledge of machine learning, paired with strong scientific reasoning to drive complex projects.

• Coding & Tools: Proficiency in Python. Working experience with PyMC is a major plus.

• Communication: Excellent verbal and written communication skills—you can easily translate complex technical concepts for product managers and business stakeholders.

• Mindset: A true team player with a passion for collaborative problem-solving.

• Strong background in Reinforcement Learning (specifically Multi-Armed Bandits).

• Proficiency in SQL and experience with Git.

• Experience in the gaming industry.
