Senior Full-Stack Engineer CaaS Platform (Streaming and IoT Fleet)

About The Position Pixellot's infrastructure powers millions of live sports events worldwide - from raw video captures at remote venues to real-time stream delivery and ML-driven monetization. As Senior Full-Stack Engineer, you will be a core contributor to the reliability, scalability, and operational excellence of our cloud platform. You'll own features end to end on the platform that runs sports cameras as a service: distributed backend services that stream live video at scale and manage a large fleet of connected devices in the field. You’ll work as a scrum-of-one inside a strong team. You’ll shape the problem with Product, build the backend and UI, cover it with tests, ship it, and own it in production, alongside the people who build the cameras, the algorithms and the infrastructure underneath you. CaaS (Camera as a Service) is the R&D group behind the full glass-to-glass pipeline: capturing live sports on cameras deployed in venues around the world, getting the video to the cloud, producing it automatically with AI, and delivering streams and highlights to viewers. As part of your role, you will: • Design and build distributed services for live streaming at scale: ingest, processing and low-latency delivery • Build IoT fleet management: provisioning, health monitoring, remote configuration and OTA updates across thousands of cameras • Take features from discovery to production, including requirements, design, implementation, rollout and iteration • Build the operational frontends for fleet and stream management (adept, not your main focus) • Own quality: unit, integration and end-to-end coverage, plus contract tests between services • Own your services after deploy observability, alerting, incident response, and performance and cost tuning • Raise the team's bar through design reviews, shared tooling and agent-driven workflows

Requirements: Requirements • 5+ years building production backend systems, with deep experience in distributed architecture (event-driven design, queues and streams, idempotency, failure handling, horizontal scaling) • Solid cloud and infrastructure skills (AWS, containers, CI/CD, IaC) and strong production observability habits • Familiarity with modern frontend stack (React/TypeScript) to ship complete features without handoffs • A testing mindset: you treat coverage and release safety as part of the feature • Strong product sense and clear communication, including the ability to turn an ambiguous problem into a scoped, shipped solution • A team player who gives and takes direct design feedback, shares knowledge, and carries on-call as part of a rotation • A proven agentic development track record: Working with tools like Claude Code in structured, agent-driven workflows, and good sense where to trust agents and where to verify Bonus points if you have: • Hands-on experience with streaming or media pipelines (RTMP/SRT/WebRTC/HLS) and with IoT or device fleets (MQTT, device shadows, telemetry at scale) • Experience with video/ML pipelines or edge devices • Prior ownership of on-call services with defined SLOs • Experience with cellular or unreliable-network streaming • A passion for sports
