About the Role

We are looking for a highly skilled Senior Low-Level Software Engineer to join a company developing an advanced cloud security platform.

In this role, you will design, develop, and optimize high-performance, low-level software operating in Linux and/or Windows production environments. The position requires strong expertise in system internals, hands-on development, debugging, and complex problem-solving.

Key Responsibilities

* Design and develop high-performance low-level software in C/C++.

* Build solutions for Linux and/or Windows production environments.

* Work across user-space and kernel-level components.

* Analyze and optimize system performance, stability, and scalability.

* Investigate complex technical issues using advanced debugging techniques.

* Collaborate with security, cloud, infrastructure, and software engineering teams.

* Contribute to the architecture and continuous improvement of the cloud security platform.

Requirements

* At least 7 years of hands-on low-level software development experience.

* Strong proficiency in C and/or C++.

* Proven experience developing for Linux and/or Windows environments.

* Hands-on experience with user-space and/or kernel-level development.

* Strong understanding of operating-system internals, including:

* Processes and threads

* Memory management

* System calls

* Inter-process communication

* Performance and resource management

* Excellent problem-solving, troubleshooting, and debugging skills.

* Ability to develop reliable software for complex production environments.

Strong Advantages

* Previous experience within a cybersecurity or security software company.

* Experience with Kubernetes and cloud environments.

* Significant kernel development experience.

* Low-level development experience gained within a technology-focused military unit.

* Experience working in both a large technology company and a startup, preferably within cybersecurity.

Preferred Candidate Profile

We are particularly interested in candidates with substantial low-level software development experience, ideally focused on kernel or systems programming.

Profiles coming from cybersecurity, security software, or advanced software product companies will be highly relevant. Candidates whose experience is exclusively within hardware, low-tech, defense, or multidisciplinary environments—without strong hands-on low-level software development—may not be suitable for this position.

The role is primarily technical and hands-on. Candidates do not need to be strongly management-focused, provided they demonstrate solid technical depth, ownership, and the ability to solve complex systems-level challenges.
