Senior .NET Backend Developer

Role Overview We are seeking an experienced Senior .NET Backend Developer to join our team at KPMG. In this role, you will be responsible for designing and developing backend services and APIs for innovative AI and digital transformation projects across various industries. The role includes technical ownership from solution design through production deployment while collaborating with AI engineers, project managers, DevOps teams, and clients. Key Responsibilities • Design, develop, test, and maintain backend systems using C# and .NET • Develop secure, scalable, and well-documented REST APIs • Design and develop microservices and integrations with enterprise systems, databases, and cloud services • Translate business and technical requirements into practical and effective solution designs • Deploy and operate services in cloud-based and containerized environments • Improve system performance, reliability, security, and scalability • Conduct code reviews and promote clean code, automated testing, and development best practices • Provide technical guidance and support architectural decisions within the development team • Participate in technical discussions with clients and internal stakeholders •

Requirements: Requirements • At least 3+ years of professional backend development experience using C# and .NET • Significant experience designing and developing REST APIs and microservices • Strong knowledge of software architecture, design patterns, and distributed systems • Hands-on experience with SQL, relational databases, and data modeling • Experience developing and deploying solutions on Microsoft Azure • Hands-on experience with Docker and Kubernetes • Experience with CI/CD pipelines, source control systems, and production deployments • Strong understanding of application security, authentication, and authorization • Experience with unit testing, integration testing, monitoring, and production troubleshooting • Ability to independently lead technical tasks and make sound engineering decisions Advantages • Experience with AWS or other cloud platforms • Familiarity with event-driven architecture, messaging systems, and asynchronous processing • Experience with NoSQL databases, caching solutions, or infrastructure as code • Previous experience in technology consulting, enterprise projects, or client-facing roles Education • Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Software Engineering, Information Systems, or a related technical field • Significant professional experience may be considered as an alternative to academic education Soft Skills • Strong analytical and complex problem-solving abilities • Ability to explain technical topics clearly to both technical and business stakeholders • Strong ownership, independence, and commitment to quality • Ability to work effectively in cross-functional teams • Adaptability and willingness to learn new technologies What We Offer • Opportunity to work on innovative AI and digital transformation projects • Technical ownership of complex backend systems • Exposure to cloud technologies, enterprise systems, and AI solutions • Collaboration with experienced developers, AI engineers, and technology leaders • Professional growth opportunities in a dynamic technology consulting environment
