Senior Product Manager / Payments Lead

PayPlus is looking for a highly experienced Senior Product Manager / Payments Lead to take ownership of core payment products and lead complex initiatives across our payments ecosystem.

This is a hands-on product leadership role for someone who understands payments deeply — from the transaction lifecycle and acquiring flows to APIs, integrations, risk, reconciliation and merchant experience.

You will work at the intersection of product, technology, payments and business, leading products used by thousands of merchants and high-volume businesses.

What you'll do

• Own major payment products and capabilities from strategy and discovery through specification, development, launch and optimization.

• Lead complex initiatives across online payments, POS, recurring payments, payment methods, transaction management and merchant-facing payment products.

• Define product strategy, roadmap, priorities and success metrics.

• Translate complex payment and business requirements into clear, detailed product specifications.

• Write high-quality PRDs, user flows, business rules, edge cases and acceptance criteria.

• Work closely with Engineering, Architecture, UX/UI, QA, Operations, Sales, Finance and Compliance teams.

• Design and improve APIs, webhooks, integrations and developer-facing payment capabilities.

• Own end-to-end transaction flows including authorization, capture, settlement, refunds, cancellations, recurring payments and reconciliation.

• Identify friction in payment flows and continuously improve conversion, reliability and merchant experience.

• Work directly with merchants, partners, processors, card networks and external technology providers.

• Manage priorities and execution through Jira in a fast-paced, multi-product environment.

• Use data, customer feedback and business performance to drive product decisions.

What we're looking for

• 5+ years of Product Management experience, preferably in complex B2B or infrastructure products.

• Strong hands-on experience in Payments / Fintech — mandatory.

• Proven experience working with payment gateways, acquiring, PSPs, card processors, fintech platforms or payment infrastructure.

• Deep understanding of the payment transaction lifecycle.

• Strong knowledge of:

• Authorization, Capture, Void and Refund flows

• Recurring and tokenized payments

• Payment methods and digital wallets

• 3DS and authentication flows

• Reconciliation and settlement

• APIs and Webhooks

• Strong technical orientation and the ability to work directly with engineers and architects.

• Experience defining complex backend-driven products, not only front-end features.

• Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills.

• Strong ownership mentality and ability to independently drive initiatives.

• Excellent written and spoken English.

Strong advantages

• Experience with EMV / POS / card-present payments.

• Experience with Visa, Mastercard or local card schemes.

• Understanding of PCI DSS and payment security requirements.

• Experience in acquiring, payment orchestration or merchant processing.

• Experience with high-volume transaction systems.

• Experience building developer products or external APIs.

• Experience with SaaS, Commerce, Billing or Subscription products.

Who we're looking for

We are looking for someone who can sit with an engineer and discuss an API contract, work with Finance on reconciliation logic, understand why a transaction was declined, challenge a UX flow, speak with a large merchant about their business requirements and then turn all of that into a clear, scalable product.

Someone who doesn't just manage a backlog, but truly owns the product.
