Senior Scientist, Antibody Engineering & Antibody Discovery

A clinical-stage biotechnology company is looking for a Senior Scientist, Antibody Engineering & Antibody Discovery to support therapeutic antibody discovery and development activities.

The company focuses on research and development of cancer immunotherapy therapies, combining multidisciplinary scientific work with advanced discovery and development capabilities. This is a senior scientific role focused on antibody engineering, recombinant protein work, antibody screening, molecule selection, optimization, and experimental execution in a dynamic R&D environment.

Responsibilities

• Design and generate antibody expression constructs, including antibody engineering activities.

• Participate in the production and characterization of antibodies and recombinant proteins.

• Execute laboratory-based antibody development activities, including study design, data analysis, and documentation.

• Support antibody screening, lead molecule selection, and optimization as part of therapeutic antibody discovery campaigns.

• Collaborate with scientists from multiple disciplines and cross-functional teams to advance projects.

• Present scientific results in team meetings, project meetings, and external scientific forums, including conferences.

• Contribute to the implementation of new technologies, methods, and workflows.

Required Qualifications

• Ph.D. in Life Sciences with more than 4 years of experience in the biotechnology industry, or M.Sc. with more than 6 years of relevant industry experience – must.

• Industry experience in antibody engineering and bispecific / multispecific antibody development – must.

• Experience in protein engineering – must.

• Experience with biochemical methods, including Western Blot and ELISA – must.

• Experience with cell-based assays using mammalian cell cultures and expression systems – must.

• Experience with Flow Cytometry, including staining and data analysis – must.

• Experience with recombinant protein and antibody expression systems – must.

• Familiarity with antibody characterization methods such as BLI, Octet, SPR, and HPLC – must.

• Ability to work effectively in a dynamic, multidisciplinary research environment – must.

• Excellent written and verbal communication skills in English – must.
