We’re looking for a Hands-On Architect who loves solving complex system-level problems - and still wants to write code.
This is a cross-cutting role focused on making the entire engineering organization faster, more productive, and more reliable.
Requirements:
• Deep, hands-on C++ expertise - a must
• Strong understanding of memory management, object lifetime, concurrency, compiler/linker behavior, and process behavior
• Experience working with multiple languages and runtimes, ideally C++, Python, and JVM
• Hands-on experience with developer infrastructure such as build systems, CI/CD, artifact/binary caches, and release tooling
• Strong approach to system stability, testing, debugging, and observability
• Experience improving engineering workflows with AI coding tools/agents
• Ability to lead architectural decisions while remaining highly hands-on
Nice to have
• Experience with databases/query engines, Kubernetes, or distributed systems is a strong advantage.
Responsibilities:
• Design and implement solutions across C++, Python, and JVM environments
• Improve build systems, CI/CD, dependency management, caching, packaging, and release tooling
• Identify engineering bottlenecks and build solutions that improve developer productivity across the organization
• Improve system stability through testing, tracing, observability, regression testing, and performance gates
• Work across runtime and system boundaries, from applications down to drivers, DMA/IOMMU, and kernel interfaces
• Help define how engineering teams effectively use AI coding agents, including repository-level instructions, shared skills, and guardrails
• Drive cross-team technical initiatives and contribute to repositories owned by different teams
