Software Engineer

Role Description This is a full-time, on-site Software Engineer role based in the Tel Aviv District, Israel. The Software Engineer will design, develop, and maintain core back-end services that power Algorio’s algorithmic trading platform, focusing on performance, reliability, and scalability. Daily responsibilities include implementing new features, optimizing existing code, integrating with market data and execution systems, and collaborating with quantitative researchers to translate trading ideas into production-ready software. The role involves writing clean, tested code, performing code reviews, troubleshooting production issues, and contributing to architectural decisions and technical best practices across the engineering team. Qualifications

• Strong foundation in Computer Science, including algorithms, data structures, and systems concepts.

• Proficiency in Software Development and Programming, with experience in at least one modern language (e.g., Python, C++, Java, or similar).

• Experience in Back-End Web Development, including APIs, microservices, and working with databases or distributed systems.

• Solid understanding of Object-Oriented Programming (OOP) principles and design patterns.

• Bachelor’s degree or higher in Computer Science, Engineering, or a related technical field, or equivalent practical experience.

• Comfort working in a Linux-based environment, with familiarity in version control (Git) and CI/CD workflows.

• Ability to analyze complex technical problems, write efficient code, and collaborate in a cross-functional team setting.

• Experience in fintech, trading systems, or low-latency applications is an advantage but not required.

• Strong communication skills in English; Hebrew language skills are a plus.
