CoreFix is a specialist software engineering firm. Clients bring us in as their CTO team for hire: we design and build the systems they cannot staff internally, across integration platforms, payment flows, cloud architecture, and everything around them. We run several client engagements in parallel and deliver at a volume that normally takes a much larger team.
We were founded two years ago and we've grown faster than expected. Our baseline is 20+ years of experience per person, and that bar isn't going anywhere. What's changed is that the volume and variety of work coming our way now outpaces what the founding team can take on alone. So we're making our first hire.
The Role
You are the person who gets handed a problem and returns a working solution.
We set the direction and the architecture. You take a defined task and own it through to delivery. We are always available to help, and we expect you to use us. But once you say "I've got it," it is yours.
You will not be the architect we place with the client, that stays with us. You will, however, be on site regularly (in some engagements one fixed day a week), so you need to be someone people are comfortable having in the room.
What You’ll Do
• Build across the whole stack: backend services, APIs, integrations, data flows, frontends, infrastructure.
• Work in whatever the client's environment happens to be: .NET, Node.js, Python, AWS (Lambda, EKS), containers, SQL and NoSQL, message queues, CI/CD.
• Move between two or three active projects without losing the thread on any of them.
• Handle real constraints: live production systems, payment flows, and regulated environments (for example PCI DSS and Israeli privacy law).
• Work inside client networks through managed access such as VPN, jump hosts, and controlled environments.
What We're Looking For
• 4+ years building and shipping production software.
• Genuine generalist instincts. You have worked across more than one language, one cloud, and one layer of the stack, and you do not panic when a project starts in something you have never touched.
• Strong ownership. You track a task to completion, you surface problems early, and you do not need to be chased.
• Heavy, deliberate use of AI tooling in your daily work. Not as an experiment, as your normal way of working.
• Good judgment about AI output: you know when to trust it, when to verify it, and when to throw it away and write it yourself.
• Pleasant, low drama, easy to have on a client site.
• Hebrew, and functional technical English.
Nice to have: consulting or agency experience; work in regulated or security-sensitive environments; exposure to systems-level, security, or infrastructure work.
How We Work With AI
This is central to the job, not a bonus line. Every engineer gets a high AI budget and we expect it to be used. Our output per person is a multiple of a conventional team's, and that is only possible because we use these tools extensively, efficiently, and responsibly. We care about all three:
• Extensively: parallel agents, generated scaffolding, AI-assisted review, research, and documentation.
• Efficiently: the right tool for the task, not the most expensive one by default.
• Responsibly: you own every line that ships under your name, and client code and client data are handled by the rules of that engagement, with no exceptions.
If you think AI-assisted development is a shortcut that produces bad code, this is not the right place. If you think it is the reason a small team can now take on anything, we should talk.
Who This Is For
Someone hungry. We have more work than we have hands, the problems change constantly, and nothing stays theoretical for long. If your reaction to a pile of unfamiliar work is "bring it on," you will do well here.
