Software Engineer - R&D Operations

About the Role We are looking for a Mid-Level Software Engineer to join our R&D team. In this role, you will be the backbone of our internal engineering efficiency, taking full ownership of technical issue investigation, escalation management, and developer enablement. Unlike traditional roles tied strictly to feature sprint cycles, you will operate independently alongside our core development teams. While your absolute top priority is managing technical escalations and offloading operational friction from feature developers, this role is highly dynamic. Beyond ensuring system stability, you will also have the opportunity to contribute directly to core product features and work extensively with modern AI technologies, leveraging them to automate internal workflows and enhance our platform. If you enjoy root-cause analysis, debugging complex system behaviors, working heavily with AI tools, and writing hotfixes that empower both the R&D and Customer Success teams, this position is for you. Key Responsibilities • Issue Diagnosis & Root Cause Analysis: Serve as the primary point of contact for internal R&D technical escalations, investigating bugs, system edge cases, and platform anomalies. • Protect Sprint Velocity: Shield product squads from day-to-day operational distractions by analyzing, prioritizing, and resolving technical blockers. • Code, Hotfixes & AI Integration: Write scripts, bug fixes, micro-features, and patches directly within our codebase. Leverage AI tools to optimize processes and develop AI-driven internal workflows. • Cross-Functional Collaboration (CS Focus): Serve as the primary R&D focal point for Customer Success, partnering closely with them alongside DevOps, Product, and feature squads to translate recurring issue trends into long-term architectural improvements. • Developer Enablement: Maintain and improve internal tooling, staging environments, diagnostic workflows, and developer documentation.

Requirements: Requirements • Min. 4 years of experience in Software Engineering, Developer Support Engineering, or high-tier Technical Operations. • 2+ years of experience with AI tools & "Vibe Coding": Proven experience using AI-assisted development tools (e.g., Cursor, GitHub Copilot, ChatGPT/Claude) to accelerate coding, alongside hands-on experience integrating AI capabilities or LLMs into workflows. • Strong hands-on coding and debugging skills in modern web development stacks (e.g., JavaScript/TypeScript, Node.js, Python, or similar). • Solid understanding of REST APIs, backend microservices, modern databases (SQL/NoSQL), and cloud infrastructure concepts. • Experience with log management, monitoring, and debugging tools (e.g., Datadog, Sentry, Kibana, Postman). • Strong analytical and troubleshooting mindset—ability to read code, trace errors across system boundaries, and isolate root causes independently. • Excellent communication skills, with the ability to articulate complex technical issues clearly to internal developers, product stakeholders, and directly with customers during high-tier technical escalations. Nice to Have • B.Sc. in Computer Science or a related field. • Prior experience working in a fast-paced SaaS or PropTech environment (e.g., Madlan ecosystem). • Basic understanding of CI/CD pipelines, Docker, or Kubernetes.
