Software Engineering Team Lead

Employing hundreds of professionals worldwide, the company maintains a premier R&D center in Israel focused on core systems software, low-latency filesystems, and complex distributed storage architectures.

Located in the Sharon region, operating on a hybrid work model with 2 days WFH per week.

Role Description-

• Serving as a C++ Core Software Development Team Lead, managing, mentoring, and growing an organic engineering squad of 2–8 Software Developers.

• Driving hands-on architecture, detailed design (HLD/LLD), and implementation of core, mission-critical server-side components in C++ on Linux.

• Leading performance optimization, low-latency tuning, and throughput enhancement across the storage Filesystem I/O path.

• Architecting scalable, multi-threaded, clustered, and highly distributed storage systems handling petabyte-scale throughput.

• Overseeing code refactoring, system modernization, and legacy codebase enhancements while maintaining strict software quality and reliability standards.

• Collaborating cross-functionally with System Architects, Product Management, QA, and Infrastructure teams in an Agile environment.

Requirements-

• B.Sc. in Computer Science or Computer Engineering from an accredited academic institution / university – Mandatory

• 5+ years of hands-on software development experience in C++ within Linux environments – Mandatory

• Proven track record as a Software Development Team Lead or Technical Lead with managerial capabilities – Mandatory

• Deep expertise in Multi-Threaded Server-Side programming, Concurrent computing, and High-Performance Software Design – Mandatory

• Strong independent problem-solving skills, architectural vision, and end-to-end technical ownership – Mandatory

• Experience developing Distributed Systems, Clustered Architectures, or High-Throughput / Low-Latency platforms – Significant Advantage

• In-depth knowledge of Enterprise Storage Architectures, Filesystems, and Protocols (NFS, SMB, CIFS, NAS) – Significant Advantage
