Software Team Leader (Embedded / Medical Tech)

About the Role

We are seeking a strong Software Team Leader to lead a multi-disciplinary, global software development team building innovative solutions for complex, high-impact medical devices.

In this role, you will sit at the intersection of hands-on technical leadership and team development, translating complex system requirements into cutting-edge products within a regulated, international environment.

Responsibilities

• Team Leadership: Lead, mentor, and resource a team of software engineers across the full Agile development lifecycle (sprint planning, code reviews, CI/CD, V&V support).

• Technical Ownership: Drive product deliverables written in C++ (Linux Yocto embedded space and Linux user space).

• System Integration: Oversee software architecture, leading the integration of hardware/software elements and troubleshooting complex system-level issues.

• Compliance & Execution: Ensure technical documentation adheres to medical/regulatory standards while managing tasks, risks, and project deliverables.

Qualifications / Criteria

• Leadership Experience: 3+ years of experience in a Software Team Leader role.

• Core Technical Skills: Strong proficiency in C++ programming and 3+ years in Linux OS development environments.

• Architecture & Methodology: Experience with Design Patterns, microservices architecture, and Agile methodologies.

• Tooling: Hands-on experience with CI/CD pipelines, Git, and configuration management practices.

• Education: B.Sc. in Computer Science or related engineering discipline.

• Overall R&D: 5+ years of experience in R&D overall.

Advantages

• Experience with Embedded Linux (Yocto Project), QT, or USB protocols.

• Background in medical devices or other regulated product domains.

• Familiarity with UML and software architecture design.
