Splunk & Observability Engineer | 40% Position | Defense Organization | Central Israel

A leading defense organization in Central Israel is looking for an experienced Splunk & Observability Engineer for a 40% position, focused on developing, monitoring, and maintaining observability solutions across complex technology environments.

The role combines hands-on work with Splunk Enterprise and Grafana, advanced SPL development, dashboard creation, log and data-source integration, monitoring and alerting, troubleshooting, and performance optimization.

Responsibilities:

• Work hands-on with Splunk Enterprise

• Develop advanced SPL queries

• Build, develop, and maintain Splunk Dashboards

• Work with Grafana and create monitoring and observability Dashboards

• Integrate data sources and logs into Splunk

• Configure and maintain Alerts and monitoring rules

• Monitor systems and identify incidents, anomalies, and performance issues

• Perform troubleshooting and performance optimization

• Work across Monitoring and Observability environments

• Support Deployment processes across Testing and Production environments

• Conduct Code Reviews and provide technical guidance to developers

• Assist in troubleshooting complex technical issues

Requirements:

• 3+ years of professional experience with technologies relevant to the role – required

• 2+ years of hands-on experience with Splunk Enterprise – required

• 1+ year of hands-on experience writing advanced SPL queries – required

• 2+ years of experience building and maintaining Splunk Dashboards – required

• 1+ year of experience with Grafana and Dashboard development – required

• 1+ year of experience configuring Alerts and monitoring rules – required

• 1+ year of experience integrating data sources and logs into Splunk – required

• 1+ year of experience with troubleshooting and performance optimization – required

• Strong understanding of Monitoring and Observability

• Experience with Deployment processes across Testing and Production environments

• Experience conducting Code Reviews and providing technical guidance to developers – a strong advantage
