• I’m reaching out regarding a Mobile Core Network Development Team Lead opportunity with an innovative, high-growth startup operating at the intersection of cellular core software and satellite communications.

• 📍 Location: Tel Aviv | Hybrid – 4 days from the office, 1 day from home

• 👥 Reporting to: VP R&D

• 💻 Hands-on: ~50%

• The Role

• You’ll lead a talented engineering team building the core components behind real-world 4G/5G networks, including MME, AMF, SGW, PGW, HSS and UPF.

• The role combines technical leadership, people management and hands-on development. You’ll be involved throughout the lifecycle — architecture, design, coding, testing and production — with your work running on live networks worldwide.

• A key part of the role is also driving AI-assisted engineering across the team, establishing best practices around AI-driven development, code reviews, automated testing and improving engineering velocity without compromising quality.

• What We’re Looking For

• • 5+ years of experience in Mobile Core / Telecom development

• • Strong hands-on experience with 4G/5G Mobile Core components — MME, AMF, SGW, PGW, HSS, UPF

• • Strong development experience in Java and/or C

• • Previous experience as a Tech Lead / Team Lead

• • Solid understanding of 3GPP protocols such as GTP, Diameter, PFCP, S1AP/NGAP and NAS

• • Experience designing complex distributed systems

• • Strong ability to independently research, learn and implement new technologies

• • Excellent English communication skills

• • AI-assisted engineering experience — using AI tools effectively as part of the software development lifecycle

• Nice to Have

• Experience with VoLTE, VoNR, Cell Broadcast, Lawful Interception, as well as technologies such as Kafka, MongoDB, Couchbase, ELK, and cloud platforms including AWS/GCP.
