System Engineer - Advanced DIRCM Systems

A leading defense company is looking for a System Engineer to join a team developing the next generation of airborne protection systems for aircraft and helicopters.

This is an opportunity to work on highly complex multidisciplinary systems combining optics, mechanics, software, control systems, algorithms, and hardware while collaborating with multiple engineering teams across the organization.

Key Responsibilities

• Define system requirements and manage traceability throughout the product lifecycle.

• Lead technical design reviews and system performance analysis.

• Drive system integration, verification, and testing activities with internal development teams and customers.

• Collaborate in a matrix environment with multidisciplinary teams, including Hardware, Software, Algorithms, Optics, and Mechanical Engineering.

• Participate in the development and integration of advanced DIRCM (Directed Infrared Counter Measures) systems for airborne platforms.

• Translate operational needs into engineering solutions and drive system-level development forward.

Requirements

✅ B.Sc. in Electrical Engineering, Electronics Engineering, Physics, or Mechanical Engineering.

✅ At least 3 years of experience in Systems Engineering and/or development of complex multidisciplinary systems.

✅ Experience working across at least two engineering disciplines (e.g., Software, Hardware, Optics, Mechanics, Algorithms, Control).

✅ Strong system-level thinking and ability to understand the broader picture beyond a specific component or subsystem.

✅ Experience leading engineering processes and working with multiple stakeholders and interfaces.

✅ Excellent interpersonal, communication, and collaboration skills.

✅ Willingness to travel abroad when required.
