System Engineer

For our site in Rehovot, we are looking for a multidisciplinary System Engineer to join a groundbreaking high-power laser systems development project - from concept definition to operational capability demonstration.

In this role you will

Lead the design and development process from early project stages through full system integration

Lead trade-off analysis, system optimization, and full development of systems and subsystems under your responsibility

Define and manage internal and external interface documents (ICDs), with emphasis on mechanical, electrical, and airborne platform interfaces

Lead integration activities on airborne platforms working with customers and internal development teams

Plan and lead lab and field tests

Work closely with multidisciplinary engineering teams including mechanics, electronics, electrical engineering, analyses, and manufacturing

Lead engineering design reviews such as SRR, SDR, PDR, and CDR

Define system requirements, manage interfaces, and lead V&V processes throughout the project lifecycle

Requirements

B.Sc. in Mechanical Engineering, Aeronautical Engineering, Electrical Engineering, Electronics Engineering, or a related engineering field

M.Sc. in Systems Engineering - Advantage

At least 5 years of experience in systems engineering of complex multidisciplinary systems

Experience leading development teams in a complex project environment

Experience integrating systems on airborne platforms - Advantage

Experience in engineering management or design of aerospace products and/or aircraft modifications - Advantage

Experience with military or civil certification processes for aerospace products - Advantage

Experience in development of cooling and energy systems - Advantage

High level English proficiency

Strong leadership, systems thinking, problem-solving capabilities, and ability to work in a multidisciplinary environment
