System Engineer

A deep-tech company is looking for a System Engineer to lead the design and development of complex multidisciplinary systems with a strong focus on optical system design.

The company develops advanced computing systems that combine physics, optics, analog hardware, mechanics, and system-level engineering. This is a highly technical system engineering role, responsible for connecting multiple engineering disciplines and driving complex system design from concept to a working product.

Responsibilities

• Lead system engineering activities for complex multidisciplinary systems.

• Plan and design optical systems as part of advanced deep-tech products.

• Work across analog hardware, mechanics, optics, physics, and system-level engineering domains.

• Define system requirements, interfaces, architecture, and technical specifications.

• Lead tasks end-to-end, from concept stage through development, integration, validation, and a working product.

• Analyze system-level gaps, risks, and technical tradeoffs.

• Collaborate closely with hardware, mechanics, optics, physics, and additional R&D teams.

• Support integration, testing, troubleshooting, and validation of complex physical systems.

• Ensure clear technical communication, documentation, and alignment across multidisciplinary teams.

Required Qualifications

• B.Sc. or M.Sc. in Mechanical Engineering, Physics, Electrical Engineering, or graduate of a technological military unit- must.

• At least 10 years of hands-on experience as a Mechanical Engineer, Physicist, or Analog Hardware Engineer - must.

• At least 5 years of experience as a System Engineer- must.

• Proven experience designing complex multidisciplinary systems- must.

• Ability to lead tasks end-to-end, from concept to a working product.

• Team-oriented approach and excellent communication skills.
