Team Lead Of Development and Technology

Your role will include:

• Manage and provide professional leadership to the development team, including developers, QA, and external vendors.

• Responsible for the development, maintenance, and upgrading of Moodle systems and supporting technological systems within the unit.

• Lead technology projects from the completion of the client needs-definition phase through to production deployment.

• Work collaboratively with unit teams, and with clients such as researchers, internal units, and organizational stakeholders.

• Responsible for development, testing, and production environments, and oversee deployment processes and production rollouts.

• Responsible for code quality, code reviews, and defining and implementing professional standards, including embedding workflows within the team.

• Implement and monitor information security mechanisms in code development processes and AWS cloud infrastructure.

• Provide hands-on, professional leadership in resolving complex issues, data interfaces, and integrations between systems.

Skills and abilities:

• At least 3 years of experience in Web systems development -required.

• Experience leading a development team and providing technological leadership - required.

• Strong proficiency in Fullstack technologies such as PHP, JavaScript, HTML, SQL, and CSS - required.

• Experience developing REST APIs and system-to-system interfaces - required.

• Experience working with Git and familiarity with GitHub - required.

• Experience working with AWS or Cloud environments - required.

• Experience working in a Linux environment - required.

• Experience developing and customizing Moodle - an advantage.

• Experience integrating AI tools into software systems - an advantage.

• Familiarity with infrastructure and application services of an Information Systems division in academic institutions or research organizations - an advantage.

• Native-level proficiency in Hebrew and a good level of technical English.

• Ability to work independently and as part of a team, with strong self-learning ability.
