Team Lead & Tech Owner for IBI Capital - Position No. 1734

What you'll do:

We're creating a new, pivotal role for someone who wants real ownership of a product end-to-end: building an internal dev team from scratch, leading it, while managing the professional relationship with an external development vendor.

You'll be responsible for:

• Building the product's internal dev team from the ground up: hiring, setting up workflows, and providing ongoing technical and professional leadership, including hands-on coding and solving complex problems

• Mentoring and closely guiding team members while building their knowledge and professional growth

• Full professional oversight of an external development vendor working on parts of the product, including ongoing code reviews, architecture decisions, and CI/CD

• Building and maintaining the architecture of a Python and AWS Lambda-based product, alongside a React-based front-end layer

• Working closely with the CTO on strategic planning, including building a phased plan to gradually transition ownership from the external vendor to the internal team

• Close collaboration with the product team

Requirements:

• Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Software Engineering, or a related field

• 7+ years of development experience, including 3+ years of Full Stack

• Full command of Python at a high level (production code, architecture, best practices), significant hands-on React experience

• 3+ years managing a team, including code review, architecture decisions, and mentoring developers

• Experience working in an Agile/Scrum environment, including sprint planning and iterative development processes

• Experience with AWS, particularly serverless services such as Lambda, and hands-on experience with Microservices architecture

• Strong ability to work independently, true personal ownership, and systems-level thinking

• Experience using AI tools as part of the daily development process

Nice to have:

• Experience working with external vendors/subcontractors - a significant advantage if it includes quality control aspects

• Experience leading a technology transition or ownership transfer from an external system/vendor to an internal team

• Familiarity with AI-based systems development

• Familiarity with financial systems
