Team8 Stealth Cyber Startup- Solution Engineer

We're a stealth-mode cybersecurity startup with experienced founders and strong backing. We're building offensive security technology for large organizations, we’re a post product-market-fit looking to scale up operations About the role You'll be our technical authority in the field and the customer's technical point of contact through pre-sales - winning the deal from a technical standpoint: from the first deep session, through scoping and the evaluation, to the handoff once they go live. You'll work closely with sales on deal support, with our field technical lead on scoping and delivery, with research on output quality, and with product on what we build next. What you will own • Evidence and narrative. What we lead with, how the technical story gets told, and whether it survives a customer red team reading it line by line. • Technical scoping. Scope, environment topology, access model, exclusions, technical success criteria. You also name what will go wrong before the evaluation starts:. Each one gets designed around, descoped, or written down with the champion as a known risk. • Evaluation execution. Access setup, kickoff prep, monitoring, checkpoints, readout content. Scope changes and platform issues get escalated, not absorbed. • Tier 1 support during a live evaluation. Customer’s first point of contact during a PoV You resolve what's resolvable, route the rest with enough detail to act on. • Enterprise security review. Technical answers to questionnaires, architecture reviews, privacy and data-handling questions, deployment-model requirements. You build the reusable answer library that makes the second enterprise cost a fraction of the first. • Technical demos and methodology sessions. How the technology works, what controls sit around it, and how it compares to the alternatives a buyer is weighing. You answer the question that decides most deals: how do you know this result is real. • Demo environment and reusable assets. Demo environment, seeded scenarios, playbooks, demo scripts, a recorded demo library, persona talk tracks - You will design and build the technical assets that power the GTM team. • Handoff and product feedback. You will collaborate with GTM and Product to ensure customer expectations are met, providing feedback and insights that will help shape the product roadmap

Requirements: What we're looking for • Offensive security background: pentester, red teamer, or security researcher, or applicable solutions in the field. Understanding of how an attacker thinks and how to convey it to both executives and technical teams • Hands-on experience leading enterprise evaluations or technical POVs. • You present well and can win a methodology argument with a customer's security staff without losing the room. • You write clearly. Technical narratives and questionnaire answers are both writing jobs. • Comfort with a fast-moving product matters more than familiarity with any particular tooling. • You are a problem solver - independant, can solve issues and write code
