Technical Manager

A leading company in the aerospace and defense sector is seeking a Technical Manager to lead the technical development of advanced systems for airborne platforms.

This is a technical leadership role with responsibility for leading and coordinating multidisciplinary engineering teams in a matrix environment throughout the full system development lifecycle.

Key Responsibilities

• Lead the technical development of complex airborne systems throughout the full product lifecycle.

• Provide professional and technical leadership to multidisciplinary engineering teams in a matrix environment.

• Define system requirements and translate operational and customer needs into system-level technical solutions.

• Lead system architecture, design, integration, verification, and validation activities.

• Coordinate technical activities across hardware, software, electronics, mechanics, and other engineering disciplines.

• Lead system and subsystem integration activities and resolve complex technical challenges.

• Manage technical interfaces between multidisciplinary teams, suppliers, and external customers.

• Lead technical reviews, drive engineering decisions, and ensure technical alignment across the project.

• Develop and maintain system requirements, design specifications, technical documentation, and development plans.

• Support customer-facing activities, including technical discussions, requirements definition, reviews, integration, and delivery.

• Drive technical execution according to project plans, schedules, and key milestones.

Requirements

• B.Sc. in Electrical Engineering, Aeronautical Engineering, Mechanical Engineering, or a related engineering field.

• M.Sc. in Systems Engineering - an advantage.

• 3+ years of experience as a Systems Engineer in complex multidisciplinary hardware-software systems.

• Proven experience in technical leadership, professional guidance, or matrix management of multidisciplinary engineering teams.

• Strong systems engineering background with experience in system integration and end-to-end product development.

• Hands-on engineering background, including exposure to electrical and hardware systems.

• Experience working across multiple engineering disciplines and managing complex technical interfaces.

• Strong English communication skills, including the ability to work with international customers and stakeholders.

• Strong leadership, communication, teamwork, and interpersonal skills.
