Technical Product Manager - Security

And honestly, we all feel here - it’s just the beginning! So, what's the job?  We are looking for a Technical Product Manager to join Guardio’s Core Product Team and own the technology that powers threat detection and protection across our products. This is a hands-on, highly technical role for someone who loves building systems, thinks big, and gets deep into the details. Technical experience in cybersecurity is a must; a background in backend engineering or system architecture is a strong advantage. B2C experience is not mandatory. You will: • Own the strategy and roadmap for our core security systems, building for stronger protection and scale. • Evolve our threat detection capabilities, from the signals we analyze to the decisions that drive protection. • Lead a dedicated team of engineers and security analysts from discovery and technical specifications through testing, launch, and iteration. • Build internal tools that help security analysts investigate threats, test detections, and deploy improvements. • Define and track KPIs for detection quality, system performance, and analyst efficiency. • Work with product managers across Guardio to bring shared security capabilities into existing and future products. What kind of candidates are we looking for? • 5+ years of experience as a Product Manager, with ownership of highly technical products, platforms, or backend systems. • A strong technical background in cybersecurity, including practical experience with threat detection, security research, or protection systems. • Deep understanding of backend systems, APIs, data flows, and scale; comfortable working through technical details and system design decisions with engineers. • Experience turning complex problems into a clear product vision, technical requirements, and a roadmap, then driving delivery. • Hands-on analytical skills, with experience defining KPIs and using data to improve product quality. • Strong communication and leadership skills, with the ability to align security, engineering, and product teams. • Fluent in written and spoken English. Bonus points for: • Previous experience in backend engineering or system architecture before moving into product management. • Experience building real-time decision systems. • Experience building tools for technical users. • Experience working in a fast-paced startup.
