For one of our clients, a global company developing and manufacturing solutions for the water infrastructure industry, we are seeking an experienced VP R&D & Engineering to join the executive leadership team and lead the company’s R&D and Engineering function, with a strong focus on Mechanical Engineering.

The VP will shape the company’s technology and product development strategy, leading R&D, Product Engineering, Production Engineering, and Test Lab activities. The role will drive innovation, strengthen engineering capabilities, and work closely with Product Management and Operations to align technology, product development, and manufacturing with the company’s business strategy and growth objectives.

Key Responsibilities

• Lead and develop high-performing R&D and Engineering teams

• Drive new product development initiatives

• Oversee Product Engineering, Production Engineering, and Test Lab activities, ensuring engineering excellence, robust processes, and continuous improvement across the engineering organization

• Promote innovation and identify emerging technologies and market opportunities

• Partner with Operations to enhance manufacturing performance, quality, and efficiency

• Build strong cross-functional collaboration across Engineering, Product Management, and Operations

• Define and execute the company’s technology and engineering roadmap

• Strengthen engineering methodologies, processes, and organizational capabilities

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in Mechanical Engineering; advanced degree is an advantage

• Extensive experience leading R&D and Product Engineering organizations within an industrial/manufacturing environment

• Proven track record in new product development and engineering innovation

• Strong leadership experience managing multidisciplinary technical teams and complex projects

• Strategic thinking combined with strong hands-on execution capabilities

• Excellent communication skills in English and Hebrew

Experience in the water industry, infrastructure, or industrial manufacturing environments is a significant advantage.
