VP R&D | Stealth Cybersecurity Startup

We are a stealth-mode cybersecurity startup backed by a significant Seed round from top-tier VCs, already serving paying, active customers. We are building our core product and looking for a VP of R&D to lead our technology, architecture, and engineering team from day one through rapid scale.

Key Responsibilities:

• Lead the end-to-end R&D strategy, architecture, and engineering culture.

• Build, hire, and mentor high-performing, multi-disciplinary engineering teams.

• Partner closely with the founders and Product team to translate vision into a scalable, robust product.

• Establish a fast-paced, high-quality, and innovative development environment.

Must-Have Requirements:

• Proven experience as a VP of R&D or Director of Engineering in a product company.

• Strong technical background in infrastructure (Cloud-Native, Distributed Systems, High-Scale).

• Hands-on experience building, scaling, and managing top-tier engineering teams.

• Entrepreneurial mindset with the drive to execute in an early-stage environment.

Advantages:

• Experience scaling an R&D department through rapid growth phases (Scale-up).

• Deep domain expertise in Cybersecurity.

• Background or practical experience in AI / Machine Learning / LLMs.
