🚀 We’re Hiring: Communication Infrastructure Planner / Architect

📍 Location: Modi'in, Israel + field work and travel between sites

A leading company is looking for an experienced Communication Infrastructure Planner / Architect to join a challenging and hands-on role involving the design and implementation of communication and technology infrastructure for complex buildings, facilities, and Data Centers.

The role includes end-to-end responsibility — from gathering requirements and initial concept design, through reviewing architectural plans and creating detailed drawings, to supervising implementation, field inspections, and project handover. Key Responsibilities: • Design communication and technology infrastructure for complex buildings and facilities.

• Lead projects from concept and detailed design through implementation and delivery.

• Review architectural, construction, electrical, and MEP plans.

• Design communication rooms, cabinets, endpoints, cable routes, pathways, and infrastructure crossings.

• Plan fiber optic and copper cabling infrastructure.

• Prepare drawings, diagrams, and technical details using AutoCAD and Microsoft Visio.

• Design infrastructure supporting IT, OT, and ELV systems.

• Coordinate communication infrastructure with electrical, HVAC, construction, and safety systems.

• Prepare technical specifications, Bills of Quantities (BOQ), and work plans.

• Work with architects, consultants, project managers, contractors, and vendors.

• Provide field supervision and support throughout implementation.

• Verify execution against design and support testing, handover, and commissioning.

Requirements: • Significant experience in designing physical communication infrastructure for buildings or complex facilities.

• Experience leading projects from initial planning through implementation and handover.

• Ability to read and understand architectural and engineering plans.

• Hands-on experience creating infrastructure drawings and plans.

• Strong proficiency in AutoCAD and Microsoft Visio.

• Experience designing communication rooms, racks/cabinets, fiber optics, copper cabling, and cable pathways.

• Understanding of IT, OT, and ELV systems.

• Experience supervising installation and implementation work in the field.

• Independent, hands-on approach.

• High level of English, spoken and written.

• Willingness to travel between sites and work in the field.

Significant Advantage: ⭐ Experience designing or implementing communication infrastructure in Data Centers.

⭐ Experience with defense, industrial, healthcare, or technology campus projects.

⭐ Experience integrating IT and OT infrastructure.

⭐ Familiarity with relevant communication infrastructure and Data Center standards.

⭐ Experience preparing technical specifications and BOQs.

⭐ Background in electrical infrastructure or working closely with electrical planners.

Important: This is not a classic Network Engineer role focused on configuring Cisco or Juniper equipment. The main focus is on the physical and integrated design of communication infrastructure within buildings and complex facilities, from planning communication rooms and cable pathways to producing detailed drawings and supporting implementation in the field.
